Champion’s Challenge

Pixelate 

Pixelate works in partnership with local authority arts officers and community based organisations to deliver creative projects across Greater Manchester. Here’s the projects so far: 

Bolton – Lesson Learnt?

September to November 2009: A group of young people from the Johnsons Fold Estate in Bolton learnt a range of media skills making a short film and behind-the-scenes documentary exploring the dangers of social networking. Find out more…

May – June 2009: A group of local residents developed a series of digital art work inspired by the annual Bury Text Festival. Pixelate engaged the local community in a fun and accessible introduction to animation. Find out more…

Rochdale – Alter Ego/RIPS Investigates 

October 2007 – April 2008: A group of local people invented their own online persona called R.I.P.S (Rochdale Investigative Paranormal Society) and created a series of fictional ‘Most Haunted’ programmes which were broadcast online. Find out more…
